Steven E. Wedel was born in Stillwater, Okla. on April 28, 1966. He graduated from Enid High School (Oklahoma) in 1984 and took a real-life detour before entering college, finally earning a BA in journalism from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1999. A glutton for punishment, he's now working toward a master of liberal studies degree with a creative writing emphasis from the University of Oklahoma.
As a journalist, Wedel has won several awards and has worked as reporter, columnist, photographer and editor for several newspapers, including The Daily Oklahoman, and has been a corporate writer for a major energy company.
Wedel's first book, DARKSCAPES, was released in 2002 by Publish America. It is a collection of short fiction. His first novel, SHARA, will be available in 2003 from 3F Publications.
