Charity events for 2003
 
June 28   Reading For a Cure (to benefit the American Cancer Society and Lupus Foundation) This event features mulitple authors and a booksigning. Event to be held at the Double Tree Hotel in Tulsa, OK  9-5 PM.
 
December 20  Children's Book Festival (to benefit the Shriner Organization). This event features various authors and their work in different genres. Event to be held at The Castle in Muskogee, OK     10-6 PM
 
Booth space fee-$15 (25% of all sales will be donated to the charity)

Writers' Association for the state of Oklahoma rules and requirements:
 
For the OCAA-anyone may join.  The organization will help members find events to participate in, to promote both the artist and work.  This organization will be holding charity events, and critiques for whomever may wish to use this service.
 
For the WWO-anyone may join but must agree to be an active participant of the association's activities. (Fees are $30 annually) Members will receive help from local publishers, editors and agents, both locally and nationally. You'll receive a book on writing for profit and marketing. You'll also receive a membership card, a newsletter, and legal advice from a literary attorney. You'll receive monthly updates on all statewide events.
